We firmly believe that optical prints from negatives offer the best-quality photographic end product; however, there are circumstances in which an optical print is not ideal - for instance, e-mailing a photo to friends; some galleries are only accepting digital submissions; optical prints from slides are not available. It is therefore with great pleasure that we offer digital film scaning services that approach the quality of our optical prints.
Our film scanner works in a similar fashion to our print machines: A lamp illuminates the film, projecting an image through a lens; instead of photo paper, though, the image shines onto a high-resolution digital sensor. Just like our printing process, color corrections specific to your images are made by a human operator, and multiple quality checks are performed before your files are burned to CD or DVD.

If you would like scans of film which has already been developed, we can happily oblige. We scan such images at high resolution; we charge a setup fee of $5.00, plus:
* $0.50 per image for 35mm film (negative or reversal, unmounted)
* $1.00 per image for 35mm mounted slides
* $1.50 per image for all other formats, including 35mm panoramic, and 35mm square (Robot, Diana Mini)
